Within the framework of cooperation between the Faculty of Physical Therapy at Horus University and the Directorate of Health Affairs in Dakahlia Governorate, the first conference for the Orthopedic Surgery Departments of the Health Directorate in Dakahlia was held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Tamer Madkour – Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Dakahlia. The conference was attended by a group of orthopedic surgeons and physical therapy consultants from various hospitals and medical centers, aiming to exchange experiences and discuss the latest scientific developments. Dr. Mohamed Ahmed El-Koumy, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Orthopedic Physical Therapy at the Faculty of Physical Therapy, Horus University, delivered a lecture entitled: “Anterior Cruciate Ligament Rehabilitation: Latest Protocols and Clinical Applications” In which he addressed the stages of post-surgical rehabilitation and the criteria for determining the patient’s readiness to return to activities. The lecture received great interaction from the attendees due to its presentation of up-to-date information in a simplified manner, reflecting the importance of integrating physical therapy into the treatment plan for ligament injuries to achieve the best results.
