Under the patronage of Professor Dr. El-Saeed Abdel-Hadi, President of Horus University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Zeinab Ahmed Hussein, the Continuing Education Committee at the Faculty of Physical Therapy organized an awareness lecture on the proper use of fire extinguishers. The lecture aimed to raise awareness among faculty members, teaching assistants, interns, and students about how to deal with fires safely and effectively.
This lecture is part of a series of events designed to promote a culture of safety and security on campus, particularly regarding emergency response. The lecture was presented by Dr. Mohamed Farouk, a lecturer in Physical Therapy in the Department of Women’s Health and the coordinator of the Safety and Security Committee and the Disaster and Crisis Management Committee.
Dr. Farouk addressed the theoretical principles of proper fire extinguisher use, in addition to practical applications demonstrated during the lecture. This enabled participants to understand how to handle fires in various situations. The importance of safety and proper use of fire extinguishers in emergencies was also highlighted to ensure everyone’s safety
