Faculty members, teaching assistants and students from the college participated as speakers in the “No Disability” conference, the sixth edition, entitled “International Scientific Conference on Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation”. This is within the framework of activating sustainable education and scientific research activities, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Zainab Hussein, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, and Dr. Aya Khalil, Coordinator of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the Faculty.
The following have been presented:
- Dr. Nevine Al-Ajmi, Lecturer of Internal Medicine at the Faculty, lecture entitled “Metabolic Syndrome Management”
- Dr. Aya Khalil, Lecturer of Biomechanics at the Faculty, lecture entitled “Measurements of Self-Outcomes in the Field of Physical Therapy: Use and Challenges”
- Dr. Ahmed Khater, Teaching Assistant at the Department of Biomechanics, on behalf of the student group (Omnia Ali, Rana Al-Sayed, Layali Mohammed, Shahd Al-Sayed, Yara Al-Sayed) under the supervision of Dr. Amira Assi and Dr. Magda Magdy, presented a paper entitled “Analysis of gait patterns in individuals with chest hexchback: a narrative review”.
This research was produced by the student activities of biomechanics under the supervision of Dr. Aya Khalil.
Student Hazem Osama (internship) presented a paper entitled “Low-level laser therapy for the management of carpal tunnel syndrome in patients with lymphademia after mastectomy”.
All participants in the conference were honored with certificates of appreciation and shields in recognition of their efforts in enriching the conference.
