The Continuing Training Unit at the Faculty of Physical Therapy, Horus University, headed by Dr. Azza ELdiasty, in collaboration with Sky Life Academy, successfully concluded the activities of the:
🌍 International Scientific Workshop
Empowering Function (GMAE) and Optimizing Tone & Spasticity Management in Children with Cerebral Palsy (CP)
held over two days, January 31 – February 1, 2026. The workshop was distinguished as the first of its kind to be held outside Cairo, providing an exceptional scientific learning environment.

🔹 Over the course of two days, the workshop covered:
Gross Motor Ability Estimator (GMFM App+): From Assessment to Treatment Planning
Advanced Spasticity Management and advanced approaches for managing muscle tone and spasticity
📌 The workshop witnessed distinguished attendance from faculty members and teaching assistants of the Pediatric and Neurological Physical Therapy Departments, in addition to broad participation from physical therapy specialists and consultants. This contributed to a rich scientific exchange and highly interactive discussions throughout the event.
🎖️ At the closing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Zeinab Ahmed Hussein, Dean of the Faculty, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Amira El-Beglati, Vice Dean of the Faculty, honored Prof. Hekmat Handoush and presented him with the Faculty Shield in recognition of his outstanding scientific contributions and in appreciation of the importance of such international scientific events in promoting collaboration, exchanging expertise, and benefiting from global experiences.
