Horus University’s Medical Caravan to the Medical Center of New Damietta City

Under the auspices of Her Excellency the Minister, Dr. Manal Awad, Governor of Damietta, and Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Horus University. With the presence of Prof. Hassan El-Shenawy, Vice Chairman of the University Board of Trustees, Prof. Al-Saeed Abdul Hadi, President of the University, Prof. Eman Al-Bendary, Vice President of the University, and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Prof. Muhammad Ghazi, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry. Within the cooperation framework between Horus University and Damietta Health directorate to boost community service activities and with the coordination and supervision of Dr. Elsayed Abdul-gawad Deputy of the Ministry of Health, Damietta Governorate, and Dr. Muhammad Heikal, the university board’s consultant of community services and environmental affairs, Horus university has organized a medical caravan to the medical center of New Damietta City on Sunday 12th of March 2023. The caravan has encompassed a spectrum of university staff members in the different medical fields; Prof. Nagy Abdul-Hady, Program Director of the Faculty of Medicine and Professor of Nephrology at Mansoura University, Prof. Magdy Abul-Kheir, Professor of Pediatrics at Mansoura University, Prof. Walid Abul-Naga, Deputy of Community services and environmental affairs, Faculty of Physical Therapy and Professor of physical therapy for surgery and burn, Prof. Amr Elkarargy, Professor of oral and dental medicine and Deputy of Community services and environmental affairs, Faculty of Dentistry, and Dr. Sherine Zohdy, lecturer of internal medicine and the coordinator of the caravan. Mr. Madgy El-essily, Faculty of Physical therapy’s Secretary general and Mr.Emad El-nemr, director of Horus University’s outpatient clinics have joined the caravan.
The caravan has provided both the medical service to the patients of the medical center and the needed medication at the expense of the university. Also, the university has provided a follow-up service in the university outpatient clinic for free.
